Communicating with Students

Canvas provides several features for communicating with students. We have provided a short list of most-used tools here. Your Canvas course must be published for any of these communication tools to work. Additionally, students can disable their Canvas notifications so that they do not receive emails associated with these communication tools. Students can log in to Canvas using their ONID username and password

• "Message students who..." based on assignment scores
• "Message students who..." based on current course grade (part of Analytics 2.0 beta feature)
• SpeedGrader Annotations - be sure to include "How to view feedback in Canvas" video to your students when using SpeedGrader Annotations
