Poll Everywhere is an interactive audience engagement tool that allows presenters to collect real-time responses from participants using polls, quizzes, and open-ended questions. It integrates with presentation software like PowerPoint and Google Slides, enabling live visualization of audience input.
Using Poll Everywhere for Teaching and Learning
Poll Everywhere has replaced Top Hat as OSU’s centrally supported Student Response System (SRS). All OSU employees and students can create an OSU Poll Everywhere account, using their ONID credentials. There is no cost to use to tool. Please contact the UIT Academic Technologies Learning Platform Services team with questions.

Polling Methods for Instructors
There are 3 ways for presenters to launch Poll Everywhere questions:
- Using the Web
- Using Poll Everywhere with slides
- Using the Poll Everywhere mobile app
Response Methods for Students
There are currently two ways that students can respond to their instructors’ Poll Everywhere questions: logging into the Poll Everywhere website or using the Poll Everywhere mobile app.
- Using the Web: Students can log into the Poll Everywhere web page to respond to polling questions.
- Using the Poll Everywhere mobile app: If students prefer to respond to questions using a mobile device, they can download the Poll Everywhere Participant app.
