New Canvas Gradebook

Canvas has released a new gradebook; it looks very much like the current gradebook, but has some additional features that faculty have been asking for. You can enable the new gradebook in one of your courses sites if you’d like to try it out.

We will host (and record) an online Q and A session about the new gradebook on Thursday May 9, 3-3:50 pm. Please RSVP if you'd like to attend.

In the meantime, check out a handy comparison of the current and new gradebook features.

Outcomes in Canvas

Did you know you can create learning outcomes in your Canvas course and connect them with assignments to track your students’ mastery? Outcomes can be set up for individual courses, or at the program or College level. To learn more about Outcomes and how to use them, contact us at

Fun Facts

Did you know OSU has hosted more than 50 tours of the Learning Innovation Center (LINC) since we opened in fall 2015? Visitors include academic groups, architecture firms, and several universities, including schools in China and Chile.

OSU’s innovative student-centered learning space design is influential: four universities are building or have already built round classrooms that seat 150 or more students, with two more universities in the planning stage.

LINC is the home of Academic Technology, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and Honors College. Stop by and see us on the fourth floor!
