Clickers are continuing to evolve, along with new ways of engaging students in and out of class. We shared a survey to elicit feedback from faculty and students, between February 22nd - April 9th. The results of this assessment will inform future learning technologies decisions for the entire university. Stay tuned for news in June!
In 2010-2011 TAC conducted an assessment of clicker use at OSU. This investigation involved more than 80 clicker-using instructors from across the curriculum, several hundred students in pilot courses, core instructional support units, OSU engineering, and peer institutions. The overall consensus result of these diverse stake-holders is that OSU should transition from Qwizdom to Turning Technologies as the centrally supported response system (clickers). In the 2010-2011 clicker (response system) assessment TAC produced a feature matrix for comparison of the major response systems available. This matrix was shared with clicker using instructors and with the clicker vendors in order to gather the most current, accurate, and relevant information. The final matrix was shared with instructors who participated in the Clicker Assessment Survey.

A survey was conducted in Spring 2011 among all known clicker-using instructors at OSU, 87 individuals, which included several extension stations. Results from that survey are presented in the 2011 OSU Clicker Assessment Final Report. Provided here is the survey instrument used to query instructors.

In Spring 2011 four pilot sections of Physics were conducted. Two sections used i<clicker2 student remote. One section used Qwizdom Q4 student remote. One section used Turning NXT student remote. A survey was conducted among students of all those sections, more than 400 responded. Provided here is the survey instrument used to query students.
