TurningPoint Cloud v7.5.3 Release - November 10, 2016

Enhancements & Fixes for TurningPoint Cloud PC v7.5.3 include:

  • Multiple session export from Results Manager
  •     Checkbox list added to session export window
  • Added support for UTF8 in TPZX format so to save session zip files in other languages
  • Added display name for unassigned devices in Results Manager
  •     If an unassigned device is registered to a participant, their "display name" value is shown in parenthesis after the device ID
  • Added ability to adjust messaging text size by adding a zoom slider that zooms font from 100% (default) to 400%
  • Added ability to view licensing information by hovering over the seat information on the dashboard
  •     If instructor license exists (org allocated or instructor or both): "Your license supports {x} participants and is set to expire on {x}."
  •     If license is expired: "Your license is expired. Please contact Turning Technologies at (PHONE_NUMBER)."
  •     If no licenses: “You have no licenses. Participants must be licensed to view results.”
  • Added the ability to have email addresses exported with the CSV export from Results Manager overview export. "Includes Email" is a checkbox selection in session overview export form and default is unchecked
  • Fixed issue where option to enter in ranking criteria into the Ranking Wizard is missing
  • Fixed issue where TurningPoint Cloud was crashing when unable to obtain an IPv4 address
  • Fixed issue where the countdown timer would not work if default shapes in the presentation were set to "no fill"
  • Fixed issue where CSV exports would not support UTF8 characters and session files for different languages were not functioning properly
  • Fixed Results by Question Report error that appeared when invalid responses were received on an answer, producing an error when the report was run that read "TurningPoint Cloud cannot generate the selected report. The report may be too large for the system's memory."
  • Fixed issue where the countdown timer does not start if deck uses template colors
  • Fixed issue where closing PowerPoint while Simulated Polling is collecting answers in ready view creates exception error
  • Fixed authenticated proxy exception error with invalid credentials where an error was not displaying if invalid credentials were entered

  • Improved performance of participant list editor when editing a large list
  • Improve performance when saving a session in PowerPoint when the "Include PowerPoint Presentation" option is off

  • Updated the question list editor to use a table view to improve performance
  • Improved progress display when loading reports to be displayed the whole time a report is loading
  • User is now notified to save/close the current open tab when navigating between tabs in the dashboard so that an error is not thrown when attempting to go to a polling environment
  • Fixed issue where TurningPoint Cloud would occasionally crash when exiting during a running ResponseWare session
  • Fixed issue where Countdown Timer froze sometimes at random for an indefinite amount of time, and resumed again at the value at which it froze
  • Fixed multi-byte character display in PowerPoint
  • Fixed issue where TurningPoint Cloud would crash loading when no computer name returned for preferences
  • Fixed issue where TurningPoint Cloud crashes when user saves information and attempts to run it on another Mac

To update the software on your receiver:

  1. Open TurningPoint Cloud
  2. Select the Turning Logo at the bottom center of the TurningPoint Cloud dashboard
  3. Search for updates
  4. Install update (we recommend not opting for automatic updates)
